NORW Among Top Three in Best Tasting Tap Water Competition
Norwalk, Ohio, 06/15/09 - If you're looking for some of the best tasting water in Ohio, look no further than Northern Ohio Rural Water.
In May, Northern Ohio Rural Water was one of the top finalists (Second Overall) in the Ohio Rural Water Association's water competition. The award was presented to Northern Ohio Rural Water at the conclusion of the taste sampling competition held during the Association's state conference in Newark, Ohio.
A panel of four judges from governmental agencies and engineering companies sampled entries submitted from various water utilities from around the state. Each judge evaluates glasses of water from the finalists measuring them on clarity, odor and taste. Northern Ohio Rural Water was the runner-up and has won the competition twice in the last 7 years. They won the competition in 2002 and 2004 and have reached the finals almost every year since they entered the competition annually in the 1990s.
"We've had people say that they really like the water and that they don't worry about running out of water anymore," said Tom Reese, General Manager, "our goal is, and always has been, to provide you with safe and dependable drinking water."
