Elyria Water Treatment Plant, which treats water from Lake Erie; Lorain Water Treatment Plant, which treats water from Lake Erie; Erie County purchases water from the City of Sandusky Big Island Water Treatment Plant, which treats water from Lake Erie, and the Village of New London, which treats water from the Village of New London Reservoir.
Northern Ohio Rural Water purchases drinking water for its Northwest District from the Erie County Department of Environmental Services Water Division. Erie County’s water is supplied from the City of Sandusky Big Island Water Treatment Plant, which treats surface water drawn from Lake Erie.

Northern Ohio Rural Water purchases drinking water for its Southeast District from Rural Lorain County Water Authority. Rural Lorain County Water Authority is supplied by the Village of New London, which treats water from New London Reservoir.
